Kyrgyz Republic

Susanmir Plateau
Resident Employee in Kyrgyzstan
Mr. Azamat Berzovaev

Located in Central Asia, the Kyrgyz Republic is a country with a cool climate and high altitudes, attracting tourists, especially from Europe, with its beautiful natural landscapes. In recent years, the number of Japanese tourists has also been rapidly increasing.

On the other hand, the vulnerable loam layers of glacial moraine origin have caused numerous landslides, particularly in the western regions. JICA has provided technical support for slope disaster prevention on major roads.

Even after the completion of this project, our company has continued to provide technical support for slope disaster prevention in collaboration with local slope disaster prevention technicians.

We assist in the formation of a safe and secure national land in Kyrgyzstan by working in technical collaboration with the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz government.

Located in the South Caucasus, the Republic of Armenia is a country known for its beautiful landscapes and ancient UNESCO World Heritage sites. It is also famous as one of the world’s oldest wine-producing regions, with Armenian cognac being renowned for its rich flavor. The country attracts a large number of tourists from Europe and Russia.

However, as part of the mountain range extending from the Himalayas to the Alps, Armenia has experienced frequent earthquakes and the resulting landslides.

JICA has provided technical support for the installation of earthquake observation facilities and landslide monitoring equipment. Even after the completion of these projects, our company has continued to provide technical support for slope disaster prevention in collaboration with local slope disaster prevention technicians.

We assist in the formation of a safe and secure national land in Armenia by working in technical collaboration with GEORISK, the Armenian Crisis Management Agency, and the Yerevan Policy University.
